    Travel to Imperial College

    The Centre for Transport Studies is located on the 6th floor of the Skempton (Civil Engineering) building on Imperial College's South Kensington campus.  The nearest Underground station is South Kensington station which is served by the District, Circle, and Piccadilly lines. The campus is about 10 minute walk from the station by walking north along Exhibition Road. Please avoid the pedestrian subway, as it's closed for the moment.
       
    • From Heathrow airport:

      • Take the Underground (Piccadilly Line) to South Kensington station. Alternatively, you can take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and from there change to the Underground (Circle or District Line; eastbound) to South Kensington.
       
    • From Gatwick airport:

      • Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria station and then travel by Underground (Circle or District Line; westbound) to South Kensington.

      Both airports are some distance from central London and a taxi is relatively expensive.

       
    • From Continental Europe, via Eurostar train to St Pancras International:

      • From St Pancras take the Piccadilly (southbound ) to South Kensington station (journey time 23 minutes).
       
    • By bus:
      • 9,10,52 or Route Master 9 - Royal Albert Hall
      • 74 or 14 - Victoria and Albert Museum
      • 49 - Gloucester Road
      • 345 or C1 - South Kensington
      • 70 - Queen's Gate
      • 360 - Prince Consort Road

    • By Underground:

      • Take Piccadilly, District or Circle lines to South Kensington tube station
      • After exiting the ticket barriers at the station, turn right into the subway sign-posted for the museums
      • Walk till the end of the subway and take the exit for the Science Museum
      • From the subway exit, turn left into Exhibition Road
      • Take the immediate left into Imperial College Road. Skempton Building is on your right after the security kiosk.

    • By car:

      • Car parking at the South Kensington campus is severely restricted and you are advised NOT to bring a car unless a space has been reserved. After 6pm, on weekends and during vacations the car park is open to the paying public. Parking in the streets surrounding the College is at "Pay and Display" or parking meters for limited periods only.
